ID this fish

My wife caught this at the mouth of the severn river (right before it hits the chesapeake bay) and I cant ID it. I have sent a picture to DNR but figured I would ask you guys what it could be. It has the appearance of some kind of carp but I've never seen little carp with those markings.

Im going to say its a "Spotted Sucker (Minytrema melanops)" Just a guess .

DNR got back to me and apparently its an female killfish and said while they do show up in the bay they usually are not found as far north due to water salinity.

Oh, its a Top Minnow. I use to have them in my aquarium , except they had a solid black stripe down their side.
