Either that is one hell of an ambidextrous thumb stud or that knife is very happy to be sharpened. It almost qualifies as a guard.
 
I got one of those! We use it as our letter opener.

Had to laugh the first time my wife used it, she had a heck of a time figuring out how to close it- she finally got it though.

Swissbianco seems to like these, and did a very thorough job on the video, but I'm not sure I'd consider these collectible. Oh well, to each his own.
 
Yeah, i suppose when it comes to collectables, its a matter of "to each his own" ;-)
These knives were pretty light weight.
The handle material along with its locking mechanusm does not make it a top choice for any truly harsh outdoors conditions.
Have some reservation about just how well its lock holds up.
Also it shares a similar finger manipulation concern of a later knife locking mechanism
