Okay well, no options to include an image...okay well go to

for the picture. The mark is between the HI script and the blade scroll there, looks like a capital C, its on both sides of the blade... not a crescent, because I have a blade with Bura's mark and its not the same. Thanks in advance for any help I can get! PS, I can post a few more random images of the knife I have here on file.

That's an unusual location for a kami's mark, and it seems unlikely the kami would put it on both sides. Could it be a manufacturing artifact? Somewhere in the archives there should be a thread about the springs having the occasional hole that needs to be filled.

Hit the nail on the head. That is not a Kami mark, but rather just a decorative sort of critter or the like. All Kami marks are next to the bolster, just above the handle. There are still some un-marked blades out there, and apparently you got one. Take it easy.

Well those are the only embellishments on the blade, aside of course, from the cow-hoof type notch (cant think of the Nepalese term at 430am)
Ill scrounge around tomorrow and get some more pictures of the blade on here, as well as a few of the tarwar that got here just recently.

PS- Uncle Bill, a check for you is in the mail today- my brother is very pleased.
