Well, as you have probably read by now, I visited Idaho Skunk for some R&R and some heavy field testing of the new Active Duty which Jerry sent to Idaho for me (he didn't have time to send them to me in Florida so I had him send them directly to Skunk).

Here is how my conversation with Skunk when I arrived in Boise:

Contender: "Hi Skunk, did you get the knives"
Skunk: "What knives?"
Contender: "The Active Duties".
Skunk: "What's an Active Duty??"
Contender: "You know, the ones Jerry sent to you for me".
Skunk: "Who's Jerry?".

The only thing more difficult than getting them from Skunk was getting them back when I left -

Contender: "Hey Skunk, did you see my knives?"
Skunk: "What knives?"
Contender: "The Active Duties".
Skunk: "What Active Duites?"
Contender: "The ones Jerry sent me".
Skunk: "Who's Jerry?"

Well, in between we had a phenomenal time and the Active Duties lived up to their reputation - we cleaned Elk, Steelhead, etc., etc. with them.

it's called the "Main Salmon River" also known as the "River of no Return".

lewis and clark tried to go down it in their search for a route to the pacific but couldn't do it, hence the name. they detoured north and stayed clear of this gorge.

my place is just 1 1/2" left of the center of the pic, the rest is common ground and primitive area.:cool:

as I said, I have plenty of pics and will post tonight....Skunk sent me off with enough octane that I was unable to do any computer work last night. After 4 aspirins and some Vit. B-12 I am barely performing at work - but INFI pics shall come !!
 
okay, okay, we'll just give you an incomplete on this show and tell ;) (skunk did warn you about the increased effects of alcohol at higher elevations, didn't he? NO? well common sense will tell you that if you're gonna play with skunks, eventually, you're gonna get stinky!)
 
Skunk, is that where I will be visiting you next year? Holy crap!!! What weight flyrod do I bring, so much to pack, which blade(s)? Bring my bow too? Those rammies look mighty close!

Marc, awesome pics, can you send me a high res one of the rat and company in the tree for my website?

Can not wait to see the rest, but no more pee pee ones please! Skunk should have angled the shot back a bit...:eek:

thanks guys, but where is the contender? maybe he is still in detoxification? he only drank a 1/2 gal of rum per day. maybe he got a case of Baa Fever:eek:

i hope penicillin can cure it:(
