I have an Idahone Fine (1200) rod that I like, and I just learned of the existence of Medium (500) and Extra Fine (2000) products in the form of a 6" × 1" × 1/4" Slim Bench Stone that would fit Edge Pro and compatible systems perfectly. Has anyone used either of these grades?

My GUESS... they're similar to the Spyderco ceramics. Wicked Edge sells a set of "Micro Fine Ceramic Stones" (medium & fine) that are very similar to the Spyderco stones (I can't tell them apart anyways)... and I wonder if they get them from Idahone, since W.E also sells the Idahone "Super Eraser".

Like I said... just a thought.

We sell all three grits. Unlike Spyderco, Idahone manufactures 6" × 1" × 1/4" size. I consider Medium and Ultra Fine are underlapped and require a break-in period. Medium is very coarse. Ultra Fine is very similar to Fine (although it's made of expensive 99.5% Alumina - Spyderco UF is 98%). We plan to make extra lapping for Idahone in future to make it more customer friendly.
