Idea for a mod

I have a number of glass tritium rods from an exit sign. They are about 1 or 2mm thick and range from under an inch to over 5 inches in length. My idea is to cut a groove into a flat handle material like micarta, G10, or carbon fiber and secure the rod in it in under clear resin. Result - nice glow-in-the-dark accent while maintaining a classy look. Any comments on how sounds?

just be aware that tritium rods can be fairly fragile, and any shock to the knife may cause the glass to rupture, rendering the tritium useless, and therefore leaving a glass rod epoxied to your handle.

I have seen many knives with tritium installed, and they all have looked very cool, just take the above with a grain of salt. be sure to show us how it turns out!
