I was thinking. Since we have all these very cool cutting videos with HI products could Uncle Bill put them on his website? This way potential customers can see the cutting ability of the item they are thinking of buying. Nothing says buy me like a good demonstration. There could be a page that links the video's so customers can look at all of them and each product could have a link for it's video. May mean some of the video inclined may have to slay a few more beer cans with more varity of HI products, but hey, no pain no gain!! :D

sorry to be a pessimist....but the bandwidth is pretty high on the website already and this would definitely put it over the top, which means more $$$ outta Bill's pocket.

If we could somehow spread out the hosting amongst several others' websites...then we could "share the burden" and keep the bandwidth down.

However, there aren't many of us who have the excess space...

maybe even better would be a sticky note....or maybe add it to the Tips & Tricks thread.

I can host 2 pictures. :D
Of course it may be in violation of comcast's free webspace rules.

I wish I had a video of me whackin' myself in the thumb with my just convexed 12" sirupati trying to cut hanging dental floss. :barf: That would be a real object lesson. :(

LOL, Brian....:D

Bill - just checked....looks like the prices have come down a little.....you would add $7-10/mo depending on which plan you choose. If you're going to host videos....might as well go for the full plan for peace of mind (not worry about bandwidth).

I'd be happy to do the page work.

Finished up a huge project at work....gonna have some time now. Also going to have some time to finish some other projects that have been on hold....:D

Khukuri_Monster should have our video up soon.

It has footage of a 28" AK cutting a 2 liter pop bottle, a copper sheet, and some pop cans. It also has footage of smaller khuks cutting cans, black tile pipe, cardboard, and some other stuff.

He was going to set it to music. We were thinking "Ride of the Valkyrie".

If you're referring to my beer can massacres, mross, I still have the vids saved but UB would be well advised to find someone a bit more photogenic to handle the cutting. Big ugly Dr. Evil-looking guys don't sell products. :)

Everest Katana's going up against a variety of targets tomorrow. DIJ will have a field day critiquing my Satori-ryu swordmanship. (Our motto: "If it ain't a machete or a maul, make believe.")

Sometime in the near future, I'll be putting a khuk (probably 16.5" AK) against an old pickup truck. I expect that I'll have to wear some safety gear for that one.

Jeb, you're killing me making me wait for this vid. Skip the music for the time being and show us the money! :D

If you want a really particular traditionally-trained Japanese Swordsman, look no further. *ME* :D. Hey, I may not be that good, but I'm part of a *DEDICATED* sword form: Shingen Ryu Batto(u) Jutsu...

Something like "Press Here To See The 15" Sirupati In Action" would be IRRESISTIBLE to new comers and hardened khukuri affecionados as well. I feel that potential purchasers would be more likely to press the order button too, especially if the videao link was strategically placed near the order button. :D

I'd send you some "greenie points" if I knew how to, mross...! :)

Click the "balance scale" on his post, DrDan. Then add your comment. It's easy.

Bill - Ok. I'll get it going and send you the information via email.
