idea to protect folders from sharpening grit

Thought I'd share a simple idea I use for protecting folders I sharpen on my Wicked Edge. I basically shrink wrap the knife from the blade's edge back. I literally use a little tabletop shrink wrap setup I have at work, but I believe the same method would work well just using a sandwich baggie. Just push the tip through the bottom corner of the baggie, until the entire sharpened edge is sticking out. I shrink it with a heat gun, but it could just as easily be wrapped around the handle.

Great idea! I sharpen free-hand on ceramic stones so I don't have to worry about that, but I'm a bit particular about water getting into the pivot and elsewhere when washing the knife afterwards, this may solve that issue of mine.

I guess one benefit of doing the "heat shrink" is that it re-tightens the opening in the baggie where the blade pierced thru.
