Ideal capeing knife?

With my obsession with Busse and Kin, and trying to find the ideal knife for every task, I've been trying to pick the ideal blade to cape big Game. Never mind that I have a very poor success rate at the sport, but a man has to have dreams of grandeur, right? For the primary processing I have available, and or used, a Hog Muk, Scrap Muk, B4 anorexic, Pork Shank, Mud Pupply LE, Scrapmax, Bird Dog, Weiner Dog, HRLM, & Hairy Carry 4.0. Any one of them can/could get the job done to butcher an animal. Some are better at skinning, some are are great for boneing; But for a caper, I think I need a thin and pointy, high Rc blade. The shorter the better. The best thing I've used thus far are a 100 pack of razor blades, but they aren't a Busse. Considering those disposible scalpels too.
Forgive my rambleing, but I have narrowed my choices down to a Boney Active Duty. It should be a good addition to the kit (if I could find one). So, would you agree, or is there another choice out there that I should consider?

I use a scalpel for capeing and a custom skinner for skinning. I'll be using my Muk as a skinner when it arrives.

I have never found anything even CLOSE to the scalpel for fine work.

I picked up one of the Busse Steak knives at blade this year and its the first thing I thought of-caper:thumbup:

Its .09" and its awesome:cool:

I'll check further into the scalpels.
The Steak knife would be cool to have, but maybe, shall we say, just a little too collectable for my means.
Still jonsin for a BAD though.

This is what i use. Z-Blade. 8 bucks, and i have used it (along with my skinner) on 5 deer and 2 pigs. It's still crazy sharp

this was my exact thought for the scrap max. I have also been on the hunt for the perfect too for the job. but I have also been using one of the Havalon Piranta

The Scrapmaxs are definite additions. Like the concept of the Havalons. Which Busses have the the higher Rockwell, besides the Bad? Gonna check out the Muskrat now.

How about the MBC? I think its 61rc and .14 thick.

What about a vex from the boys over at the Swamp custom shop. I have the chance to use one to skin a Texas pig last year and let me tell you that thing is a proccessing machine.

Now I have been hunting for one since I used it and have only seen 1 come up for sale and I wasnt able to grab it. That was a little over a year ago so they are very very hard to find and most people that have them refuse to part with them.

Have the MBC, good size, but maybe not pointy enough.
Havn't seen a Muskrat available yet, but interested.
Was looking for a Vex for a long time , but man are those hard to find!
Scored a BAD.... guess I just had to have one, but will be getting some inexpensive scalpels before the next hunt. Pretty sure I have all the bases covered.....for now that is.

I love the Vex and the SCABS. After doing around 50 deer in the last two years, they are now permanent fixtures in my game bag.

Helped a buddy process a doe out earlier today. I used nothing but a Magnum Bear Cub for the whole thing. Just wanted to see how it did from start to finish. Overall it worked great from skinning, to meat removal, to slicing up roasts and steaks. What a great little hunting buddy.

B4 supermodel works for 99% of it and I use a scalpel as noted for the fine work around eyes.lips etc.

I have to admit I generally just do the skinning and meat processing. I leave the detailed stuff to the taxidermist.
