Ideal Truck Knife

I have been looking for a decent knife to keep in the console of my truck. I use it for all types of tasks, from general slicing to cutting heavy things like rope and rubber. I've had various knives for this purpose and haven't been completely satisfied. Well, I ordered a Byrd Wings knife and can say that I have found the ideal truck knife. Yes, it's heavy and bulky, but the 2 locking blades are perfect for what I am looking for. The 8Cr13MOV is decent. In my mind, it is roughly equivalent to 420HC or AUS-6. Now, if I could just convince Sal to make a Spyderco version with VG10 steel, it would be perfect.
 
If you like the Wings you might want to order a spare. It's on the "2014 Discontinued Products" list. The Dyad has been discontinued for a while but you can still find them on the used market. Spyderco recently did a Sprint run of them but they are pricey.
