Ideas For Gerber Air Ranger Mods??

I have two Gerber Air Ranger folders. The blade is 3.75" long, overall open length is 4.75". One fine edge and one fine/serrated combo. The fine/serrated combo is my favorite to carry and use. I would like to mod the fine edge Air Ranger by doing something to the all-metal scales. Maybe Camo Gun Kote, flame look heat treatment. I do not know what is possible. I want to keep the textured surface.

Can you share your experience with photo and DIY how-tos???

You could get some 1000 grit paper and sand the handles enough to take off the top color , leaving a silvery top with colored texture.

You could mirror polish your screws and pocket clip , or satin finish them. You could take some extra fine steel wool and Flitz and polish the blade.

Those are my ideas.


So did Gerber yoink the LAWKS offa CRKT ?
