Hello fellow blade lovers.

I')ve ordered my groomsmen mini svord peasant knives (on a budget here but they're great knives and I think they'll be intrigued with them being friction folders)

Initially I thought I'd engrave their initial on the blade but because of the finish svords have, I decided against it as the placement would be strange.

I'm now really into the idea of engraving their initial into the handle (possibly using a dremel) and then adding some paint to it to make it stand out.

Now I turn to you gents....cause i need some damn help!

Is this a bad idea? I know the handles are made of polypropylene, some sort of plastic. My concerns are: is this possible using a dremel? How difficult would it be? Would it look crummy even if with an experienced hand (which I would say I'm a novice at best)

Lastly, any other suggestions aside from this?

Thank you!

I'd take it somewhere to have it engraved. Even being plastic, phenol etc it would be a lot less expensive than you might think and no chance of messing it up.

You could maybe even have the initials cut into the opposing/smooth face of the screw pivot - small but classy.

Great idea for wedding party gift BTW!

Let a pro do it.
Dremels don't engrave well at all.
