Caught a nice 4' Shark this afternoon and I've got the skin pretty clean. Now anyone have any suggestions on the best way to tan this skin to keep it soft and supple? I've got a design on the drawing board that would look great with a sharkskin wrapped handle.
Thanks in Advance.

You might want to try tacking it upside down onto plywood and coating it with a paste of boric acid and a little bit of water. The boric acid even keeps the bugs away. we used to use this to tan pheastant skins with the feathers still on the other side. They always dried pliable and odor free.
