hi I have collected knives most of my life but only recently started to tinker at woodcraving and making my own knives (using reciprocating saw blades) and need a reasonable priced stone or system to sharpen them with any ideas ?

For $22 you can look at the smiths 3-in-1 sharpening system. If you work for sport chalet or a sporing/outdoors store that uses 3point5.com you can get a spyderco sharpmaker for $33.. These are the two that pop to mind, also i think tops the sharpmaker will run you $60 and its a good investment.
