How's it going?

While searching for various Rodent Solution pics, I happened to stumble across a photo that contained a nice looking knife and I can't figure out what it is.

I don't know if this is a modified Rodent Trail, or a full Custom via the shop.

The original pic was posted by @AZTimT, so I hope he pokes his head in here and can answer directly.

Until then, does anyone care to enlighten me?

My reasoning was to find out how folks liked the RS vs BGAD, and it seems to come down to hand size and comfort... which is why this caught my eye.

Im 99% sure its a longer Busse Hack

That is a Snake Skin Meaner Street with a Warden butt grind and Talon hole delete. Same as the unmodified knife that is above it. Not sure about the thickness.
 
The pic does look like that is it, in black and green except for one thing causing some slight questioning.
That pic might of the Bear Cub Hacks which are smaller than the regular Hacks. Shown below with a warden (afaik) for scale.

My reason to think they are the BCHACKS is that a Google search hit on that photo from Busse Collector, and one Busse itself showing them.

The first pic shows the knife slightly smaller than a Leaner Meaner while larger than an AD and I think the Warden is smaller than the AD.

Bill...I've owned a MS Hack and an AD Hack, now I've got a MSe that is very close to that profile...I prefer the MSe...check it out...seems like I've seen a black/red one for sale recently here on the Busse Exchange that has the exact same mod..matter of fact, IIRC, that's where I got the idea for mine!

I really like the lines and size of that one, I can see that being the perfect EDC PIECE.

I have a Mini Muk in my hands now and while I didn't think the handle fit my hand as I had hoped, I will be giving it plenty of time as I am making a sheath for it and sending it out.
That being said, the handle might grow on me, and I do like how the edge is much closer on the MSe over the Muk.

What I do like is that the Hack Street is a bit shorter (blade height), while maintaining the blade length, though I do believe both have a FFG (I am not sure of the MSe). The ricasso does make it look like a saber grind. I will give the modded MSe a bit more of a look, primarily due to the comparative ease in locating one, though I would prefer a flat ground over saber.

Thanks for those pics. I wear a L or XL and most EDC pieces just feel too awkward in my hands. Plus the fact my hands are screwed up to begin with. Seeing that in those XXL hands of yours RedbeAR15, I just know that design would fit me well. Again more ammunition for my claims about showing a hand shot when Busse introduced a new knife. There has been a few I passed on, only to see them later in pics and love them. That generic picture just does not show enough in relation to size. At least for me that is. Thanks for the pics. Great looking knife by the way. I really like the looks of it.
 
I have to agree with Ladams.
I wear an XL width glove with Large (glove length) fingers, and from these pics, I think the handle would be just hand filling enough to stay comfortable for longer usage while still being thin, nimble, and suitable for EDC needs.

Fantastic knife.
Now I just need to track one down...

Does anyone currently have an MSe and the MS Hack and can take a comparison photo for me?

I have been thinking more about this post of yours, and I am starting to realize that I may never likely come across a MS Hack...

They're even more infrequently spotted than even the elusive SARsquatch ;)

at least that's been my experience and one of the main reasons I sent my MSe off to Josh for the talon hole delete treatment.

But, at the same time, you shouldn't have to settle. One will come up...eventually. In the meantime, I PM'd the brother with the currently FS REK MSe about your <perhaps> interest....mr. freehouse.
