Hi fellas, I picked up something today that I think may be special but I can’t find anything on it. It’s a Buck 192. It has a 2006 date stamp, CPM 154 steel, and has a blued finish on the blade. It has a flame symbol on the right side with BOS over CPM 154. It is new and has never been used or sharpened. The sheath also looks like new. I picked it up for $31 but I have had zero luck on identifying anything about it. I felt sure someone here could help. I’ll try to post some pics when I can. Thank you all in advance!!!

You know your model # so its not too hard to figure out from there. The 192 is called the Vanguard. Introduced in 1991, it is still current production. Over the past 30+ years there have been many-many variations. You do not show a picture but I'm thinking given the date and other information given, your blade is likely to be Titanium Nitride coated (not blued)'

Buck did a number of titanium coated CPM154 bladed knives for Bass Pro in 2006, the same year as the blade on this knife shown below. You did not say what your handle was but here is a Yellowhorse custom based on that same 2006 TiN CPM154 blade. There was also a 2016 buildout of the same blades released with a darker DLC coating and Cherrywood handles. Hope this helps.
