Identification help please

This knife has been passed down in my family and yes I'm aware it is broken and has seen better days but we are trying to figure out when it was made we have narrowed it down to between 1927 and 1930 based off the stamping but if anybody has more specific information that would be amazing thank you! I cannot figure out how to place an image so if anybody has tips on that I'll be able to post the knife.

We would need good photos of the knife and markings to help you. As far as I know there are no markings that identify a KA-BAR knife as being made only from 1927-1930. Where did you get that info?
