This knife is a friends and i'm trying to buy it from his, so finding out what i can about it. Obviously the the condition is not great...it locks open tightly, but not too tight closed. As you can see it says "bali-song" with "usa" under it, and has the normal butterfly logo on the other side. The cocoon has no loop at all on the back, like its made just to slip into you pocket. I'd loke to know what you think its worth as well. thanks for any help..

Thanks Gollnick...Ok, so it is a 35...i was wondering because of the "bali-song" on the blade instead of benchmade. As you can see its pretty scratched and used. just curious what you would pay for that knife? thanks for the help.

Btw, just curious what ppl think that tanto on ebay will go for. i saw you got in on the action dawkind

The Tanto on eBay? Well... I'm not convinced that it is pre-Benchmade since I have one just like it bought from a dealer who ordered it from Benchmade for a client who subsequently ended up living in, shall we say "a group home that doesn't allow residents to have knives." Benchmade marked their butterfly knives, especially the customs, "Bali-Song (over) USA" too.

The seller of the knife on eBay is a bit unclear in his description of the knife. Were he the original owner, he'd know the steel (440C). "superb condition" is a bit vauge. And I always laugh at anyone who makes a bit deal about the "armour piercing tanto."

The knife looks good in the pictures, though. $700 won't surprise me. But, eBay will doubtlessly close the auction before we find out.

I don't know if this is kosher... but I do know his selling price... if anyone cares to know. I put in the first, BTW.

Just curious whats up with the "bali-song" marking on this 35...did they all say that and not benchmade? All i have are benchmade bali's and this is the only one that says that. i was looking at all three of my 3 inchers along side each other and they're all different: One 30 says "benchmade" with "USA" under it, one only says "made in usa" and like i said the 35 has "bali-song" with "USA" under it. Whats the deal?? what time periods were these all made in? Were they different factories?? just trying to learn all i can, thanks again....

wait, do you mean the 35 (the pic up top), or the 30 that only says "made in USA"??? i was told that is a BM 30 Hollywood. What exactly does that mean? thanks again!!

sorry to bring this back up, but Dawkind made me wonder...any other ideas, or is it just a normal 35? thanks
