i had a knife not sure what brand or model but it had the option of wood or ivory handles and a unique locking system that had a button on the very top for your thumb that locked and released the blade. i believe it was crkt but i cant find it on their discontinued or catalogue so maybe it is not. it had a 4" give or take half an inch and i would like to buy one but i cant find it anywhere. thank you for the help

Do you remember any symbols, or markings on the blade? Even blade shape could help narrow it down.

Allen Elishewitz designed a few button lock folders for CRKT. not sure if they are still made or not. Google "crkt allen elishewitz" and you should get some good results.

Gerber did do some examples of the Paul lock that would've been less expensive IIRC.

Yes they did. It was a few years back (or more), but they were button lock knives. If you think that lock button looks right, you might try searching for Paul Poehlmann-designed knives to search his collabs with production companies.
