Hey all, haven't been around for a while, but I've been busy so don't feel too bad.
However! I just got an email from Gabriel Brånby, Gränsfors Bruk Axes, and he was able to identify the GB Axe that I had posted an ID question about ages ago. First, here's the Axe In Question.
Mystery GB Axe

According to Mr. Brånby, it is an "Old Montreal" that was forged between 1945 and 1955, and sold almost exclusively in Canada. It took a little while to get the info, but I'm delighted to get it! Particularly now that I know that it was forged before their temporary descent into poor quality axe making. Woo-hoo! That is just fannn-tastic!!!
So, there ya are, if anyone else has an old unidentified GB Axe that looks like the one above, then it's probably an "Old Montreal."
Cheers!
