Identify a cased set

of Case knives. Ran across a cased set of Case knives yesterday in a pawn shop. There were eight knives (might have been ten knives now that I think about it) with what looked like stag scales and engraved blades. They ranged from a small pen knife to a large folder. Didn't get to handle them so I can't tell you more and a google search hasn't turned up anything. Anyone know of a set like this being offered? TIA

they ran sets of cases ,some with scrolled blades at least from the 70s.

Could be a any one of a number of different Case sets, without more of a description I cannot tell you more.

A guess would be that it was the 1977 stag set, this has eight knives, stag handles, and blue scroll etching on the blades, most were made with plain bolsters but some sets were made with engraved bolsters.

That sure sounds like what I saw. Perhaps I can locate a photo online someplace?

Here's a list of some of the many sets if the link works. Like Knifeaholic says, some specific information would help, like exact number of knives, pattern, numbers, or take some pictures. What you provided is only going to lead to speculation. One thing for sure, a stag set is worth some bucks no matter which year.
