What make of knife does Jackie Chan use in the movie"The Foreigner"?
(The fixed blade knife he uses to cauterize his wound.)

Red hot.

...no idea...here are a couple pics if anyone recognizes it.

It resembles a LMF, but the swedge looks narrower than on the LMF, and the clip comes back farther. The Redneck Toothpick is completely wrong.

None of the LMF photos I've found exactly match the movie knife. The Gerber Steadfast looks more correct.

That Gerber Steadfast looks like it is a match. Gerber clearly got the mustard for the blade shape from the Hattori hunter knives, and just added an ugly handle to it.

Well it is a movie and likely a knife prop.
and Based on the military background of these two characters of the movie, something modelled along the lines of a blackjack 1-7 perhaps?...

No, if you look at the grind line on the upper part, the Randall 5 goes all the way to the bolster.

Well there's some nostalgia I didn't expect to run into today. The one in the movie is likely just a rubber prop modelled on the LMF, but it's still nice to see one. A friend of mine had one of these when I was a kid and I was always jealous.

Gerber Steadfast the newer crappy version of the LMF. I always wanted a matched set of LMF and BMF knives.

The bad news is he took the temper out of the steel when he heated it to that extreme....
The good news is that if it were a Gerber, he probably improved the edge retention and durability by destroying the factory temper:D
