Photos Identify knife

Looks like a carving knife to me. Any markings or words on it? It could be from any one of a thousand, or five thousand sets of dining utensils. If it is in fact a carving knife.
 
Does it have a steel blade, or is it chrome platted brass? You can check it with a magnet.
