A guy sent these pics, the two double bits look like cruisers, and asking 40 each for them. That seems a bit steep but I want to see them in person and make an offer. Do they look familiar to anyone?
A couple of adzes I may may an offer on one of them too.

Hard to tell with the picture. $40 is a bit steep. They'd have to be an axe I really liked and / or good markings / good condition / good brand.

Yeah, I plan to offer a fair price for a few items, he has some drawknives and an old estwing hatchet as well as a few random heads,

The one to the left of the norlund look alike is for sale I think.
That lower double bit has to be a cruiser, do you figure? I have always wanted one.

Hard to tell by the pics what shape they are in. I'd inspect them in person before you make an offer. If you have some good buffers and an angle grinder with a wire brush you can spruce these up fairly quickly. Watch out for cracks or heads that might be broken. Some people have smashed these old axes with hammers to the point where they are almost beyond repair unless you just want to do a BUNCH of work. Old heads have frequently been retired for a reason. Buyer beware! Then again, you might snag a jewel. Good luck.

Lots of cool stuff. If I were you I'd be prepping to empty my wallet. I'm a sucker for old wood working tools. Look at those inshaves and drawknives and a bucket full of chisels...it's like a dream. I would be all over those inshaves, for sure.

The most I'd spend on that cruiser is $15. And that assumes no big dings in the bit. The wide drawknife at the bottom of the pile looks like a winner. Decent adze's (with handle) fetch in the $30's on the bay. There's not a big market for them.

Dude with an old tool stash like that isn't a yokel. Be prepared for serious haggling.

This is not even half of it, haha. Everything seemed to be priced reasonably but those double bits, so I am hoping there's some nice names stamped on them.
Heading over to see them this evening I will post pics of what I get.

Haha, yeah I spotted that, it's a kijiji ad, not a buddy of mine or anything. Friends don't let friends wear toe rings. :)

I don't have time for pics, but I got the cruiser, a vintage estwing and an unmarked old style head I will let you guys figure out.
Cruiser marker walters, handle is nice and thin and still in great shape, estwing has a much thinner edge than I expected, I like it a lot.
Pics up tomorrow, very curious about the unmarked old style hatchet head.

I was pretty excited to see the mark, I thought it was bare til I gave it a rub with an oil soaked cloth, then I thought I noticed a straight line so I put a small wire wheel in the dremel and gave it a few light passes. The W is very hard to read but the rest are nice and clear.
Head was hung a little off kilter, and one edge is ground back further making it look a little lopsided, but that handle is still in great shape, nice grain and solid.
It had a steel collar nailed into the haft though, which kind of sucks, but it's only 4 small nails and I thought it was holding the whole thing together until I removed it.
