Buck series 110 3.5" blade, 3 brass 1 steel, ducks or geese. Reverse stamped 528/1000. I searched everywhere and can't find an example of this knife. Value? Worn but very good.

Is the 528/1000 a true serialization out of definite number made or is that just BS?

Check out Newsletter # 4, February 1989: "Two Geese in Flight" (1000 made); part of a series of four that also included "Two Pheasants Feeding", "One Loon on Water" and "Two Turkeys in Woods"; the knives came in a marble top box.

BCCI SO/LE list info
That gold etch is called "Geese in Flight". in 1985 Buck made a limited edition for Gander Mountain, it came with a wood display wall plaque. The Geese in Flight etch had 3 Geese flying toward the tip, 4 dot blade stamp. However, the data I have shows it to be an issue of 2000, not 1000 like yours.

In 1989 Buck issued another "Geese in Flight" gold etch knife. However, this issue has 4 Geese, 1988 blade stamp, and was issued in a marble topped wood box, 1000 of these were made.

Blades Guide info
1983 "Geese in Flight" 3 Geese flying toward the tip, 1000 made (this info is not listed in the BCCI list).

The knives listed above in mint condition, with wood display, box & paperwork is valued at $125. This information can be found in the Blades Guide to Knives and Their Values, or the BCCI SO/LE list. The BCCI list is worth the price of membership alone!

One sold on eBay yesterday for $105.55 complete/new in the box. It was the one with the wood display wall rack.
