Identify this axe please

That's probably what it is then! Congrats! Clearer photos might help solidify the identity but it seems like GBA is your best bet. I know GB is Gransfors Bruk, I think the A stands for axe but I'm no expert in Swedish axes.
 
Yeah, looks like a GBA stamp, which would be Gransfors, or to be precise, Gränsfors Bruks AB. According to wikipedia, the AB stands for "public limited company" (publikt aktiebolag) in Sweden

You're a good reference man, and quick! I think Bruk is supposed to be singular as in English it would be the Gransfors Facility/Factory/Foundry/Company. Where's forum member Aikonen to help clear this up?

The older ones will be stamped 'GAB' for Gransfors Aktiebolag - meaning "share company" or "stock company".
