I posted this on everydaycarry but figured I would have better luck here:

Rummaging through some old boxes the other day and I found this knife that was given to me close to 20 years ago. The side says Degen and on the blade Rostfrei Germany and Solingen on the other side.

This knife has a very unique locking mech, there is a ball bearing inside and if you hold the knife vertical one way and press in the blade, it unlocks...turn the knife over and close it, the ball bearing locks the blade back in place. This thing is razor sharp and never carried, I'm just trying to find some info on it and if it is worth anything....

Degan - manufacturer of moderate to mid priced line of knives, usually along the lines of lockbacks and multi blade promotional cutlery.

Interesting gents folder you have there.

However, as a registered user, you are not allowed to ask for valuation.

You may try posting this in the Levine sub-forum for the identity. HERE.

The unusual opening method is meant to fool people. They call this type of knife a 'Mystery knife'
