Identify this sword please. One sharp edged longsword?

A sword caught my eye the other day. It was in a picture but i've failed to locate the photo since. so let me describe the sword to you

2 handed or hand and half sized sword handle. Handle was similar to a longsword as far as looks.
Guard was also similar to a longsword.

The blade is where i was confused.

It had a fuller that went about 3/4 of the way up the sword, traditional.

however, only one side was edged and the other was not (katana style, cutlass style, but straight), still a straight sword like a traditional longsword. But the single sharp edge confused me. well if you know what this is i'd appreciate a name so i could possible buy one.

Might have been a langseax like this:

Or it could have been a falchion like this:

The German fencing schools had one, single edge langschwartz. Somebody posted some pictures on myarmoury.com of one he had made, but I am having trouble remembering the exact name and I can't seem to come up with a google hit--sucks getting older. They do have a singular look, with that long hilt and sweeping blade. I will try again later, but you might get a faster response from their forum since it is more dedicated to historical arms.

The brain re-engaged, thanks to another cup of coffee. The blade you are looking for is a Kriegsmesser. There are several companies that make them, and they seem to cost a bit less than a comparably sized double edge blade. Good luck.

It may have been a custom sword to be honest. It truly was exactly the shape and style of a longsword but with a dull or non sharpened edge. Strange. Thanks for the comments ill keep looking

Yes! thanks @Horseclover, that is exactly what i've been looking for, besides minor color details that is the one. Thanks a bunch.

Ditto, I always thought Angus Trim made those because he couldn't do a saber blade.

He then did do curved blades, including katana blades. Here are a few of many.

Gus went too diverse and that alone one of his biggest pitfalls.

Are yu still taking scabbard orders Russ? My last sabre scabbard attempt started out as awesome, then had to cut it off the blade as I didn't account for enough cross section. Straight stuff, much easier.

Cheers

Yes indeed, still doing them up. I try to keep the site up to date with the latest. The curved ones are always a pain, you have to take that curvature into account and typically the spine is significantly thicker than the edge which also has to be accounted for. I keep meaning to charge more for those... :)

Sorry to hear about your hassle with that one.
