So my friends partner passed away about 2 years ago and today she gave me this blade, it seems rather old and from what oxidation there Is I can only assume the handle is copper? But I just wanted to know if it's of any significance also I'm not sure if I'm posting this image correctly

The handle appears to be brass.

This knife is a Fairbairn Sykes type dagger, but I'm not sure if it's a real ww2 example or a repro / replica.

Wow thanks! I couldn't for the life of me find out!

Someone here will tell you if its an original and what pattern it would be, there were various small changes as time went on.

This doesn't look like a recent knife at all, but they've been reproduced for a long time.
