Identifying Maker of Axe. HELP

Anyone have any idea what that spells or any information on this axe? My grandfather bought it and would like to know it's value, may sell it.

Lakeside. A brand of Montgomery Wards department stores. Last used sometime in the fifties.

Yep, here's what the logo looks like. I've seen some of these that were a little soft and others that were good and hard.
