Hello not sure if this is the correct area to post or if this is even allowed so please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm pretty new to this forum as a poster and just looking for a little help identifying this knife which I have acquired and any information at all I would be very grateful, Thank you.

it is an old bayonet someone cut down to make a knife. I think it was an old German bayonet.
