I think this would qualify as "Traditional". This was my Grandfather's knife, he's had it as long as I can remember, but I don't know who the maker is, can anyone help me to identify it? The handle feels like Delrin and the bolsters appear to be steel.
All I know is the large blade says, just like this on the side...
Ranger
Prov. USA

Is ranger the maker? Its in very bad shape.

Thank you for your help.

Ranger was made by Colonial Knife Company (Providence, RI) from 1938-1951 according to Levine's Guide (IV) and Goins' Encyclopedia Of Cutlery Markings.

Like I said, I believe it was a Colonial made knife, but it was made under the brand Ranger

Blues beat me to it....

Whoa!! I was going to guess Colonial, not that I have any great knowledge of older pocket knives, but I just saw 8 old Colonials in an antique shop a few days ago!

My first new pocketknife was a Ranger. My Dad got it for me on the way to deer camp in 1978.
I still have along with tons of memories.
Thanx for posting it Tyrone.
