So please cut me slack but I just don't see the point. I've been using knives for 45 years. I grew up with family that lived in the woods lived on farms and spent time in the military. But I just don't see why batoning is the be all end all for the toughness of a knife. I understand you have to do what you do in an emergency situation but it's just everybody that ever taught me about blades had enough common sense to not beat on a fixed blade let alone a folder. And then tried to use it as some type of durability test. I'm a rotating equipment field mechanic I've done horrible things to knives I know better than to do. I've driven them through oil filters with the hammer hell I've even cut ridges out of cylinders with them. But this just strikes me as stupid.
