I'm not sure what happened!
I have a crude paint can forge so I know I can't regulate the temps that well. I've made a few knives before and have come out great. This was the first time I've tried a full grind, so maybe it was too thin? I haven't had good retention on previous blades so I tried to hold temp longer, too hot?

So frustrating after all the time I put into sanding...ugh!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Edge was definitely too thin for heat treat. I would stick to 30-50 thou thickness at the edge.
^^This^^ You definitely want to leave the edge a little thick not only to avoid deformation, but also to prevent thin parts of the blade from overheating and becoming brittle.

The only fix is to grind it down till it's not wavy any more... Make a smaller knife outta it...
