If collecting Emerson knives is a disease, I don't want a cure.

Liking the Bulldog, and the Roadhouse....holy crap, it's a monster.

On a side note, does anyone else know if my Roadhouse is/was a custom or difference model? The box's label had "custom" and "vanilla" written on it. It also has a glow in the dark back spacer. I have no clue what that indent is in the show scale is for. Eh, still like it.

Your Roadhouse was definitely modified, with custom scales and the liners were "jeweled". My guess is there was a coin or bead or some such decoration in the recess in the scales. I have both of the same models (in stock configuration); I agree about how awesome the Roadhouse is, so much so I now have a Custom Super Roadhouse - that is a real animal. You have two very cool and desirable Emersons IMHO.

My guess is that it wasn't from EKI was it? Part of me thinks so just because of the box (or my naivety) but I can't find much info on it.

No, pretty sure there wasn't anything like that offered by EKI. Due to their quality and simplicity, Emersons are among the most "pimped" knives out there. The are a great canvass for a knife modder to "paint".

+1 There wasn't anything like that offered by EKI from what I have seen over the past 14 years as a infected user.:D Perhapsthe recess in the handle is something for your thumb to sink into for better grip pulling/waving out of pocket.

The indent on the handle looks like the indents on some "survival" knives intended to be used for a bow drill for fire making. May or may not be that, but that is what I thought of when I saw the picture.
