Well, I just ordered two HI Khukuris. A WWII 16.5" and a 18" Sirupiti (spelling??). Will be nice presents to add to my knife collection. Buying and reviewing the Khukuris on this forum, have made me really remember and miss Nepal. I had been to Nepal 3 previous times for trekking and travel. Man, I can't wait to go back a fourth time! I have been overseas now and back on active duty in the Army for about 13 months and have been in Afghanistan, Kuwait, and now Kosovo/Balkans. Can't wait to get out of here and hopefully soon back to civilian life. Think I will plan a trip to Nepal next January or February!! That would be a nice way to celebrate getting out of the Army again-and can then go rucking on my own terms!!! Made a lot of good friends in Nepal I would like to see again and also do some more trekking. Have to buy a few more Khukuris while I am over there also.

Welcome Ranger! Are these your first Khukuris, or just your first HI khuks? I'm sure you'll like them. I bought my first one about a year ago and was hooked immediately. Those are 2 good choices you made. For me, the 16.5 is the perfect sized working blade. And that 18" siru is one fast blade. Enjoy.

Two good choices, Ranger. I don't have a WWII yet but everyone raves about them. I do have three Sirus; 15"(so cute), 18"(imposing), and a 20" (look out). The 18" actually belongs to my son. He picked that one out of the entire bunch that he had to choose from. He could have had a Chiruwa, 18" AK, or BAS. With the two you chose, you'll be able to slice and dice to your heart's content.

RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!
