Good morning, I recently got back into collecting after some time away and am having a blast. I just got a 25 with micarta and its awesome. A Large inkosi with micarta was next on my list... is it too similar to justify or is their room in the collection for both?

I have a 2 21's and a lrg inkosi with micarta. I was recently deciding between the 25 and inkosi. I think one of the main differences is the washer and I thought I read that they upgrade the washer if you send in your 25. Just my thoughts and routinely poor memory, so please don't neglect to fact check me! Lol.

Wouldn't being a collector mean you try to get several different versions of a particular brand or even a specific knife?

The arrangement of the stop pins in different between the two models, with the Inkosi washers butting up against the new-style stop pin to keep them from spinning against the slabs. The 25 used a bent tab on its lock side washer to achieve the same thing, with a simple circular washer on the presentation slab side. I don't have any idea if Inkosi washers would fit a 25. I sort of doubt it, but maybe. Is there anyone with both models on this forum who might be able to check?

Id get a umnumzaan instead or a large 21. Nothing wrong with the 25. To similar unless you wanna collect them

In addition to some of the differences already noted, the Inkosi grind is more hollow than the 25. It's almost between the 21 and 25 grinds.

So yes, you need an Inkosi.

One of the biggest sighs of relief is with the Inkosi, the pocket clip is slightly angled reducing/preventing discomfort during use. That's what I've read any way.
They look a lot like twins, but there were enough changes to rename the knife to what it is now.
I'm not going to sell my 25's off and replace them with Inkosi's, but I do have a LH natural micarta on order.

If the pocket clip is an issue, then yes, get a Inkosi. If not, you really don't need both, unless you're an addict and just have to have one.

Has this been confirmed? I though they were the same.
