If I Have A Knife In My Bag Coming Into England...?

Hey, everyone. I'm hoping to head for Europe this December (specifically, I'm taking a cruise to England & then I'll probably take a bus to Prague). I was wondering if I should even bother taking a knife on this trip, or should I just buy one that I want when I get to Czechia or Slovakia (where there aren't many knife laws outside of not wantonly stabbing someone)?

In the UK, one may carry a folding knife with a blade under 3" inches that does not lock open. To carry a knife with a longer blade, one that locks, or a fixed blade, you would require a good reason such as camping, hunting, etc.

Something low-profile and inoffensive such as a SAK is always a good bet.

It's not a problem to bring knives in with your checked baggage on an aircraft, but I don't know what the situation would be on a cruise ship?
