about how long would it take to ship? Just curious, as it's kind of a deciding factor between that and an ASH-1 for me.
 
You could always get a TB next month or two as long as it will be up.. I'd get an ASH, of course that's just my favorite knife, but that's my recomendation.

You know, deep down, you will probably get both anyway so..
 
I'm not too sure about that. I ordered on the third day, and I just got my shipping notice today. The TB has been up since ealy July. At the current rate, someone ordering today could wait another month or two considering every order is custom.

That is just conjecture though. Only the Busse folks know the REAL truth.

Order one anyway, you know you want one.

It depends... I'm sure that they are trying to get 'em out as fast as possible, but with all the options on this model, each is truly is a customized production knife. Best thing to do is contact customer service and ask what the ballpark wait time might be. I don't imagine that with so many already shipped that it'll take a long time, but I don't work for Busse, so I can't begin to make a guess.

I can say that with the few hints about the new model following the Tank Buster being dropped, I wouldn't wait too long to place an order. ;) We usually do get a heads up about the order cutoff point here on this forum, but it might be a very short window.
 
you also might email or call Amy, they may have a few already made that were cancelled orders that you can pick up immediately, just a thought although you might not get the exact configuration you were looking for.

Thinking of a 2nd Order!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really love this knife, just have to think of the Color/Handle Options.

I have an CGAsh1, and I do love it. It is super thick, however. I would love a tank buster.

I think a skinny Ash1 would be a perfect mid sized user. Thin enough to be a great slicer. Full convex grind, with convex edge, which puts the balance forward more for chopping, even though is much lighter than a CG ash1.

That said, if I had any money right now, I would love a Tankbuster with no choil, and round but!
