If I wanted to drop the point on an Ontario Rat 7

I think I need a Rat-7 but wish it had more of a primitive spearpoint Bowie look. I also intend on stripping the black coating and let it take on it's own patina or acid wash it. But to drop the point how would go about it? I'd rather not have to send it out if I can do it myself.
