If REKAT is out of business, where do you get parts for one of their knives if you need them? If my rolling lock breaks or gets messed up is there anyone I can send the knife to that can fix it? Anyone had ANY contact with them at all lately?

TIA

You might want to check with waterever business sold the knife to you. They just might know of someone that is capable of fixing your REKAT. There is the chance that the only people that did repairs on REKAT were REKAT themselves. If that is the case then you may have problems getting your knife repaired if and when that time comes.

I gather this is a hypothetical question and it hasn't broken yet.

Unless, it's a proprietary part like the spring inside the lock I don't see why a custom knife maker couldn't fix things like pins, screws, or even the G-10 scales. There are many on these forums. You should ask them.

I wonder if one of the knife makers -- like Pat Crawford, or Rob Simonich -- who was contracted by REKAT may be able to fix the knife for you?

Otherwise you'd have to jerry-rig a part, or buy another one off the used knife market.
