I would like to see it streamlined, more like a beefed up caly3. Same handle shape blade shape as the caly3 with a 4inch blade. Same choil as the caly3, same thump notches.

I would also like to see the edges on the G10 rounded off. same wire clip on the caly3

Actually, It should be a caly3XL

The trick for spyderco is the maintain the strength of the manix with those changes.

best regards:)

There was a Calypso with a 4 inch blade, C-54. It was discontinued several years ago though. (I just learned that myself recently in another thread I started about the Caly3)

Sounds like you're looking for a larger Caly with a thicker blade. Why not just suggest a new knife in the Calypso line? Making the changes you're talking about to the Manix would change the knife so dramatically that I don't think they'd still be able to call it a Manix.

quite right,

I made these suggestion because there is talk of a manix 2. Many people here Put the caly3 as the younger brother of the manix and mini manix.

I am not sure if my line of argument is sound. But yeah, I would like to see a caly3xl 4in blade, thicker, stronger.

I know of the original caly. I don't think it is strong enough though. Maybe something between it and the manix strength wise. Something at least as strong as the mili with out its draw backs.

not sure if my babbling makes sense.

best regards
