If this don't choke you up then you don't belong in this great country!

I have seen this before. What this guy does is just awesome. My cousin flew into DFW after his second tour and said that was the greatest feeling having people there cheering you off the plane.

I saw a show on tv about a guy who does this also. I think it was in Maine or Alaska, can't remember now. It's good to know that people still want to show their appreciation to the troops like this.

Choked up is not the word. It caught me off guard. This is great.

Takes more than that to choke me up but what he is doing is awesome.

I'd be proud to have him as a relative/friend/nieghbor !

I'm glad everyone is enjoying this thread.I'm a patriotic nut and this time of year is sad.You have so many men and women that will not be with their families and some that will never be.I hope this one stays near the top.

Fantastic!

I was on a flight a few years ago coming home around Christmas. There were several soldiers in uniform on the flight. When we landed the pilot asked that the civilians stay seated and let the soldiers get off first as they were returning home to see their families for Christmas. Everyone let the soldiers go first, applauded, cheered and shook their hands as the passed in the aisle.

It was a simple gesture that took a couple of minutes of our time but it was plain to see that it meant a lot to the soldiers, and to us. It was one of those moments that made me feel proud to be an American.

Very Cool...

We saw that kind of thing in Atlanta in 2005. It literally almost brought tears to someof the soldiers' eyes, you could tell they appreciated it.

thx - cpr

It embarrassed me when they did that to me. Probably because we were only gone for about a month on a training op.

But it really is a good thing that they're doing.
