Can't be sure, but it may look like something what I have pictured in this thread.
I made a sketch, a half-of-a page list of some specifics that I wanted, a fresh Mini CQC-7, and a thick wad of $20's and sent it all off to ferrrk.
First off, it was really a shame that I had to send off that new Mini 7. The fit and finish was superb, and the liners where thick! Because the thickness of all the material is the same as with the larger knives, it made the Mini 7 a solid little tank.
Anyways, back to the ferrrk'd knife. I wanted a CQC-6, but since I'm going through a phase right now with smaller folders, I decided to go with the Mini 7 and have Phil make me a CQC-5 instead. But I decided to go with something a little different.
I wanted the knife to be all titanium, including a full titanium backspacer.
Check out the fit. You can barely see where the backspacer meets the scales.
I also wanted all of the hardware satin finished, including the blade. And because I'm not fond of beadblasted finishes and wasn't sure if Phil had access to any stonewashing equipment, I asked him to give the titanium scales and backspacer an orange peel finish.
Just check out Phil's precision work! Amazing!
And last, I wanted to do something simple to embellish the knife just a tad. So I decided to go with a single large, Mayo inspired hole.
I found that this hole actually aids in slipping the knife out of my pocket.
Now here's the knife in its entirety.
Wait for it...
just hold off for a little longer...
Wasn't it worth the wait?! Here it is! What a gem it turned out to be! Everything came out just as I described to Phil. Thanks again Phil for one more unique knife!
