If you build it…it will etch!

I had a quick look at the site but I did not read it.
It is a nice looking unit.

If you just want a quick play you can use some plastic electrical tape cut a hole any shape in it and stick it to some clean steel.

As I said I did not read the artical, my etcher is 12v I use a clamp on one lead and a carbon block on the other. I put a little salt in water and put that inside the tape hole. If I put the polarity of the wires one way it etches and leaves a dul metal colour the other way it etches black.

For the photo resist info there are a number of companies making sencils. I had a batch made 7 or 8 years ago and I still have some. I was also given some to try by a generous fello. My atensils were cut from a large sheet of plastic adhiesive backed. My logo is simple and they work well.

Thanks for the reply Reg. I will try that to start. And I meant the resist for the electrical etching. I thought that was what they called what you use to "resist" the etching. I did not know it was a term for photo etching. Darn English language. ;)
