Have it made for you!
Mr. Mike Turner of our makers section worked with me on refining my design and it turned out amazing! Highly recommend him, he's a pleasure to work with and does an incredible job.
I started off with a dilemma... I loved my izula... and I loved my RMD.. the Ratmandu was too large for my needs, the izula a little too small... so... I developed a solution:
After speaking with mike I added some changes:
Mike thought it'd be a good idea to combine the handles... and came up with this (pictures are courtesy of Mike Turner):
And some crappy cell phone shots of mine:
The knife is incredibly well made and it fits my needs perfectly. To top it off the steel is CPM3V and you'd want to slap me if you knew how little this baby cost me. It's a good pocket OR belt fixed blade and it has good belly for skinning if needed, great grip for cutting wood, and a rather long blade for it's overall size IF you ever needed to baton with it you probably could.
+1 for custom solutions to custom problems and a HUGE thank you to Mike Turner (thanks especially for putting up with my requests/changes and unspecified things) and BF.
