For me id be 6"1...right now im 6"4...but buying clothes is hard sometimes. Just wondering what everyones ultimate height would be. But i hear we shrink over time..i think by age 60 we lose an inch...so be 89 ill be just right.

Well,in high school I was 5-11 now I am 5-9. I would like to be about 6 foot 5.

I'm 6' 4" and sometimes have trouble finding clothes too, but not as often as I used to. There are more people our height now than there used to be, and more clothes to fit us. I'm not waiting to shrink; I'm waiting for the rest of the world to catch up.

Besides, if it takes 60 years to shrink an inch we won't be 6' 1" for 180 years....

That's probably quite true. I think I read somewhere that people are getting taller because of better, (on average), nutrition.

I was looking at some records of convicts that arrived in Tasmania back when it was a convict colony of Britain. For some reason their height was included with other details and the majority of them were between 4'6" and 5'

I'm 6 ft even. Perfect for me. :)

I would like to be about 2 ft tall, so full-grown women could pick me up and hug me and say..."oh how cuuuute."

And then they could dress me up in little doll clothes and pretend I'm General Tom Thumb.

They could then walk around downtown while they go shopping and stuff while carrying me on their shoulders.

You're a sick puppy, anyone ever told you that? ;) :D

5'8" would be the perfect height for me, right now i'm 6'3" and people always seem to expect things from taller folk. Especially at the high school age, they all seem to think that if you're 6'3"+ you automatically like/play/excel at basketball.

And the shopping for clothes thing kind of does suck.

I would have liked to have been 6'2" when I was playing football (I'm 5'11" & 3/4- so close to six foot I can taste it). Either that or I would have liked to have been a couple of yards faster.

Now I don't care

I'm 5'11" and really, really wanted to hit at least 6'... sigh, so close, and yet, so far :p Ideally, I'd be 6'1"; I suppose I'll have to look into getting some really thick-soled shoes :D

6' 1". Just so I could be not too tall and not too short. 5' 7" is definitely too short. :grumpy:

I'm happy at 6'8", although I always wished I could drive a Corvette. Height is the only reason I never owned one. Also, in certain amorous situations it would be handy to be a little shorter. :D

Trout Tamer, I sympathize. 5'11" as well, never "quite" hit 6 foot. Still, I find I have a build that fits many manufacturer's idea of "average", so all kinds of things from clothes to vehicles tend to fit well without any problems.

I took a theft report from one of the men's basketball team guys here, and all his buddies were standing around sympathizing. I felt pretty little...

I'm fine with my hight, but broader shoulders would be nice.

While being 6' 6" has it's advantages, I think that being a little shorter would have more advantages. Imagine being able to buy pants and shirts directly off the shelf, without having to go to a Tall Man store! Imagine being able to fit into any car, without my knees hitting the steering wheel or dash!

Maybe 6' 3" would be a little bit of a nice compromise.

I'm happy with my height of 6'2", and fortunate since both my parents are shorter, dad 5'9", mom 4'11"
