Be Specific as to size..color..features..quality..expected parameters
of use, cost $$ parameters..blade type and finish, thanks! im sure
this will be interesting....

It would have to be one of my REKAT Sifu fitted with one of those buttons that you push, and the blade flips-open (double-action). Something along the line of a Ken Onion "open-assist"/REKAT Sifu would also be nice.:).

For me it would be a 4.5 in reverse tanto recurve, almost like a recurved version of the BM 940. I would like a recessed axis lock to prevent accidental closings, i would like the emerson wave feature, combined with the kershaw speed safe. Handle should be something like the AFCK's

The steel would be a hand forged damascus blending INFI and CPM-10V. ;) :D

it would be slim an large..undestructable quality...
damascus blade and damascus bolsters.. with flat olive green attachable
g-10 for positive grip in wet or humid envrioments..
totally field strippable w/all torx screws.. 2 blades included..combo tanto and spearpoint plainedge...hardened
window smasher point as integral end block between the two
damascus sides..it would just barely extend past the end of the
handles and be blued to match..positive grip file-ing across the
blade back near the butt end of the blade and down the backstrap..
multi position carry capable.. and of course, an unlimited lifetime
gaurentee agianst loss or breakage..( well this is a " i wish"
thread) :&)

Integral lock using titanium scales, wave opening, Spydie hole, 3.5" clip point D2 blade, ergonomic handle shape like an old style LUDT or new SOFCK. Might as well make it a scale release DA while I'm dreamin...

Basically a Ken-Onion open-assisted, Benchmade Axis Lock (with extra strong omega springs), Emerson CQC7 Tanto in Black Ti WOOO WEE! that'd kick.

Of course the quality would be quite Emersonish.

I would want a titanium frame lock with a modified wharncliffe blade. Pretty much a mix between a Sebenza and an MT Kestral. Although, the integral lock Vector from Pirella looks awesome!

A Benchmade 722 with just slightly (only slightly!!) thinner handles and a price tag of less than $50!

Flinx

For a custom it would be the Ryan modle One.

If I design it: A REKAT Sifu with a lengthened blade of 6 inches. The blade would have to have both, a Wave and 50/50 serrations. The steal in the blade could be either BG52 or a very cool damascus.

The handle would probably be made of Mircarta and either be olive green or maroon in color. The pocket clip would be etched much like Emerson's skull or some other conversation piece.

For me the ultimate tactical folder must be big, built like a tank, have a solid locking mechanism and must be reliable enough to trust your life on. Like these Strider folders:

The latter one is the Strider/Buck collaboration which is fulfilling my needs until I get my hands on a (drool) Strider GB.

I thought about this quite a bit before ordering a custom folder for the first time.
Took an AFCK, improved the already good ergos, made it tip-up, strengthened the tip, added a recurve, a premium steel, and a stronger lock. Clicked on Darrel Ralph's website, and found out "my" knife was already being made:)
...and here it is (we stuck with thumbstuds, though, because a hole would have interfered with either the grind or the blade profile):

A stainless Damascus steel AFCK with the SpyderHole and Axis lock. New model that includes tip up or tip down on demand.

Or CPM 3V with Boron Carbide coating!

However a BG-42 Sebenza is where it is at for a tactical knife for me!;)

That's an easy one I would go with a Gibb's Mad Max in Talonite. AKA Folding Sword:D
