If you could only have 1 CRK folding knife....

Hello,

My love for titanium frame locks has been rekindled with my recent acquisition of a Spyderco Techno (love that knife but it is not for everyone). I have owned a small star-benza in the past as well as a Large Micarta 21. The small star-benza was just too small for my hands (weird since the Techno is perfect) and the Large Micarta was lost. I liked the Large Micarta but I didn't love it. I am taking 2 bar exams within the next 6 months and when I pass both I want to get myself a present/obtain a knife that I can one day hand down to my son. I know I want this to be a CRK folding knife but I haven't decided on which one yet.

My question is, if you could have only 1 CRK folding knife what would it be? 21, 25, Umnum, Mandi, small, large, inlays, insigno, etc.

My main thought is to get this knife, carry it everyday and eventually pass it on to my son. My grandfather gave me his old folding knife that he carried everyday and it meant so much to me rather than getting a new knife. I want my son to have that same feeling one day, and I know I want it to be a CRK.

I have a 25 and a small lisa pick. Both are forever knives. The 25 is hands down the best design Mr. Reeve has completed. Small carries better because of the size of course. I say both. :) Oh yeah I am planning on getting an engraving on my 25 when the time is right to personalize it. I have experience with the large regular, large carbonfiber, umnum, small seb, small damascus seb, wilson large and mnandi's. ;)

My 2 all-time favorite CRK's are the small 21 Insingo, plain Jane; and the small Regular, plain Jane. I carry them and use them more than any other CRK I have owned. The Regs are a little harder to come by as they have been out of production for quite some time, but they do pop up on the exchange fairly often.

My all-time favorite is the Small Sebenza 21 Insingo (Plain Jane). It is pretty much the perfect edc...perfect size, perfect weight and a fantastic slicer.

I guess it would have to be the Large 2010 Spalted Maple Annual that I bought for my son.

For me it's this one here. It's one that I know no one else has, and I love it.

Tough one, but at this time I will say a Small Bg-42 Regular.
Tomorrow I may say a large Regular, or a small or large Micarta Classic.

When they offer a 25 with silver hardware, I'm in. Pending that trial, a discontinued large Regular with Chris' own embellishments is THE knife for me.

but then if there were just ONE knife for me I wouldn't hang out here, would I? :joyous:

Quote of the Day :D

It depends on how you want to be remembered.
An avid outdoorsman - large Sebenza with inlay.
The military type - large Sebenza with micarta inlay.
The more urban type who likes to be more outdoors - small Sebenza with Graphic.
The office type - a Mnandi.
If I could get only one (now we all know this is hypotetical) then it would be a large Sebenza with all the bells and whistles.
hope this helps
