If you could only have one balisong from now till forever, but it could be any existing (or soon to exist, or at least a not far from existing custom) bali, which would it be.

I have no idea, I am kind of looking forward to seeing the ralph, l.davidson and mayo balisongs - but if I could only have one, it'd probably be an all damascus or so dobruski, a close call though with a nice gemini...

Easy, Chuck’s snakewood drop point tanto. Easily the most aesthetically pleasing Bali I have ever seen.

Very nice! Another maker enters the fray. Any specs on that/how does it flip? Will he be making more or was this a one off?

As far as pure aesthetics go, this is my dream bali and always will be because I can't afford one myself, nor could I justify the expense on an item that I could only look at.

Wow. VERY hard to decide...

But I'm going will good ole' Dobruski on this one.

Its a tie between these two blades:

And these two handles:

I tried to make a specific one favorite, but I cant. Either blade on either handle I would be perfectly happy with. I usually dont like tanto's but I really like this one. However, the double inserts on the 28 are really nice too. Ahhhh, I cant decide.
I guess if I had to go with ONE, I'd go with the 28.

Anywho, thats what I'm going with.

I'll pick one of those Dobruski's, or the custom BM CBS112 with cocobolo inserts. Tough decision. But if I had to pick only one brand name it would be Dobruski in a landslide.

I won't be original (yet usually...), but if there would one, it would be my BM42AS. It's definitely my prefered bali.
Maybe I would also fall in love with an old PC (Kris blade :-)), but I have never had one into my hands and don't know if it would be as pleasant to flip as my BM42. So I don't know.
Nobody wants to lend me old PCs so that I could test ;-)

It'll forever be a BM custom latchless Deep Belly Bowie. Right now, I'll settle for any handle style.

I can't really say I have that much experience with other balis, but what would count the most for me, is that it's strong, solid, reliable and other synonyms (;)), a GREAT flipper (that's what I mostly use it for; a flipping toy), and a nice look/design. So from what I've heard, a Dobruski doesn't sound that dumb... But I've also seen a lot of other very nice customs...

Like everyone else has said: Tough call.

PC or BM Custom. Any blade, any insert or skeleton handles. Nothing compares. Back in the early 1980's I was selling 50 to 60 balis a week. Never seen anything else off a production line compare with PC or BM Customs.

We can't pick (4)???? Geeeesh!!...I'm gonna pout and not play! :(

One is not fair..., and I'm taking my Militec-1, Steri-Strips, and Neosporin and going home now :p

Thanks RGRAY I appreciate the compliment. By the way one of those are for sale in the custom knife for sale by individual forum.

Hmm, I don't know much about the old customs, so I don't even know if they made this: I'd have to go with a latchless scimitar blade with wood inserts (I don't know a thing about wood, so something rich and dark in color).

edited because I'm fickle. ;)

For those of you who posted pics of the BM Customs as your favorites, let BM know what you want. If they get enough complaints, they will have to do something about it.

You know, I was this close (holds fingers together) to putting that up as my favorite bali.

With all these Dobruski's, I really cant decide. I have honestly sat here for about 15 minutes racking my brain trying to pick one, I just cant. Out of the 5 Dobruski's posted here all 5 are my favorite. I really, really cant choose one. The *only* thing I see wrong with any of them is the brass handles 27. However, I just LOVE that blade.

Too many nice ones...
